 WEl said by corpus dominus sayde our ost  
 Now longe moot thou sayle by the cost  
 Thou gentil maister gentil mariner  
 God yeue the monk a thousand last quad yeer  
A ha felowes be waar of suche a Iape  
 The monk put in the mannys hood an ape  
 And in his wyuys eek by saint Austyn  
 Draweth no monkes nomore to your Inne  
 But now pas ouer and lete vs seke aboute  
Who shal telle a tale first of al this Route  
 Another tale and with that word he sayde  
 As curteisly as it hadde be a mayde  
 My lady Prioresse by your leue  
 So that I wiste I shold you nat greue  
I wolde deme that ye tellyn sholde  
 A tale next yf so were that ye wolde  
 Now wil ye vouchesauf my lady dere  
 Gladly quod she and sayde as ye shul here  
  Here begynneth the Prioresses prolog  
  Domine dominus noster quam admirabile  
  est nomen tuum in vniuersa terra .  
 LOrd our lord thy name euer merueilous  
 Is in this large worlde I spred quod she  
 For nat only thy laude precious
